Getting Started on YOUR Adventure

We're packed and ready! Getting started is the next step to YOUR adventure! Let's summarize what we have done so far.

We've defined our why: we know exactly why we want or need to homeschool.

We've found out what our learning style is which will explain why we like to teach/learn the way we do. We have also learned what our student's learning style is so we can best meet their needs and facilitate their learning.

We've checked out the various approaches and found one(or a combination of several) that we think describes us and our family.

We've reviewed our curriculum options and other resources available to us.

It's like going on a trip. You want to make sure you have researched your destination for weather conditions, recreational sites and accommodations. Then you pack clothing, equipment, maps and what not so you can enjoy your trip to it's fullest. Getting started is sooo much fun!

Let's Begin!

get started
When do we begin? How far will we go in the next nine months? Do we want to take some detours along the way to learn about special subjects or topics? What schedule do we want to follow each day? How early will we begin our day? How long will we go?

Trip Itinerary

We need a "trip itinerary" to guide us and help us pace ourselves to avoid overload, burnout and overall dissatisfaction.
