Homeschool Reading List

Ah! THE Homeschool reading lists!

This is our way of sharing our favorite books with you. We've included a couple of book/reading lists and a link to a great program to help you keep track of your own library!

There are reading lists for every approach in homeschooling but here we will gather the best of these lists. As a teacher, specializing in reading, I used many of these lists when working with various students over the years. They can help narrow down the vast ocean of books out there.

The Great Book List Great Books of the Western World is a series of books originally published in the United States in 1952 by Encyclopedia Britannica Inc. to present the western canon in a single package of 54 volumes. The series is now in its second edition and contains 60 volumes. The list of Great Books is maintained by the Great Books Foundation, and is part of the Great Books curriculum, one of the classical approach methods.
