Homeschooling Statistics are Good!
What do the homeschooling statistics say? Will my kids be at a disadvantage? Is there research done on the results of homeschooling? We all ask these important questions, and there are answers! To be a homeschooler is a thing to be proud of! The homeschooling statistics prove it! Contrary to popular opinion, homeschoolers are not the rebel lot some think us to be. In fact, homeschooling is getting back to what our nation intended public education to be....only better.Homeschooling appears to be the fastest growing form of education in the United States, growing at an estimated 7-12% per year. Around the world it is taking a new place as well. It's the ideal of gaining a quality education to become a better citizen along with instilling the moral values we want as a family and a nation. More and more people are homeschooling their children. That tells us that something is very right about it.Research shows homeschoolers score better on standardized achievement tests: up to 15 to 30% points above the public-school children. This is regardless of the educational level of the parents. In other words a parent can successfully educate their student whether they have a college degree or just finished third grade. Homeschoolers tend to be more actively involved in their community and other civic causes. They have good
social skills,
interacting with peers as well as adults. For first hand homeschooling statistics research check out statistics from the
