Our Homeschool Room

Our homeschool room happens to be in our formal dining room/living room. As the children have grown, we have adapted and changed. When they were all young (preschool through third grade) we gathered around the breakfast table. The older they have become, the more independent their studies. Now each has a desk or work area with his/her own computer (only one is needed but we got a very, very good deal on several used computers).homeschool deskhomeschool desk

Within our classroom we have our home library with resource books that we have collected over the years at garage sales, used book sales, and other used sources. We have reading books on various topics and books for reading enjoyment. We also have drawers with supplies such as flash cards, counters for math, and science supplies.

I also have my teachers desk here, where I work on my web design, lesson plans, and other duties. I like being readily available for the kids, to answer questions.
